"HUMOROUS - NOT REALLY"

“Don’t joke about sin.  Even the slightest jesting regarding sin is poor taste, and lacks respect for God and whomever the sin is directed at.

So many times people joke about indecencies, immoralities, promiscuities, faithlessness, unfaithfulness, immoral literature, immoral pictures, or actions of other people.  The content of many jokes is directed to such foul language or actions that it is embarrassing to be present while it is going on.

Off-color jokes, indecent remarks, suggestive words, many times trigger the emotions, the senses of people, and create a tremendous temptation to act or react sinfully.  Many Commandments are broken due to the impure humor some people thrive on.”
