“So little emphasis has been placed on sin that men have become immune to seeing the wrong in temptation, immoral actions, indecencies, impurities.

In Sodom and Gomorrah men did not just ignore good, but defied good with evil living. People became totally enveloped in sin, totally attracted to participating in acts and actions that were vile to a pure way of life. One step at a time in experiencing impurities brought men down to the level of a demon. Sodom and Gomorrah had to be destroyed. What makes anyone think in our day that Sodom and Gomorrah is not being repeated?

This Lent will not change the world, but this Lent could be a beginning to change the evil into good if men were to see God in all things, instead of themselves in all things.”

“Lent is not just for a certain age group to observe. Lent is for all people who have reached an age of reason and understanding.

This Lent, see the treasure that Lent is: first, a Gift from God; second, a reminder for each of us to examine our way of life, our moral values and standards, and what we are doing to become a Saint.

Remember, it is our will that determines our obedience to God and His Ten Commandments.”
