“Perhaps it is difficult every day to think about what is available to grow in, for. Perhaps it is not in keeping with one’s way of life, but when we walked in the walls, in the halls of a convent, we had fewer distractions, but that does not mean God took our minds.

One of the first steps to creating our own distractions from thinking impure things was to be good example to each other, be joyful for the benefit of everyone else, and to keep ourselves busy so that time was useful in every possible way. The time in which you live, men waste the beauty of it, the benefits of it, the meaning of it, the purpose of it.

Tonight I, Saint Therese of Lisieux, have spoken much to you, and I encourage you, My daughters, to use time for the benefit of your Souls, to take the time to be good example, and to prepare your time so well that discouragement, distasteful things, impurities are wiped from your minds.

Never think we were not distracted, but remember, we used every means to rid ourselves of impure distractions. It was survival for our Souls we were intent upon. It was survival to keep our Faith aglow that kept us busy doing things, charitable acts for each other, honoring God in ways that perhaps would not be understood by many, but little things, and of course, always being sure that what our faces showed was encouragement to others, even though sometimes we felt despair in our own Soul.

Tonight I come to ask you, to plead with you, to encourage you, to help you have a life of fulfillment. Be charitable. Do not try to understand everything you want to do, but do it when you know it is good. Encourage others to do things that are creative, that help another person’s life be more fulfilled.

This room seats many of you. Many of Us are standing, looking at you and saying, ‘My, what a beautiful convent this would be, with all dedicated here to The Holy Trinity,’ but I, Saint Therese of Lisieux, add this remark to this Hope and Love of Ours and say, ‘The walls you live in, the places you walk, the words you say, the thoughts you think, the example you are, can capture more Souls than you will ever know.’

Never forget, everyone you meet, you touch, everyone you speak a word to, remembers you. And never, never forget that when you meet another one, as you speak, as you glance, as you smile, as you move about, do not forget, there are two Souls, three, four, five or more involved in every act.

You are Loved and you must know this. Do not forget to pray for guidance and do not forget to encourage others to pray this way, for as you do, God will answer your prayers, The Heavenly Mother will guide you; The Son, ever present, waiting for you daily to partake in What He has given you of Himself, and of course, the Light of the Heavens always surrounding your Soul.

Children, daughters, be blessed by tonight for Many of Us have stood in this room with you. Many of Us have touched your Souls. So be it.”
